Workshop: Wildflower ID for Beginners

if you're looking to learn a new skill, or dust off your identification keys, this beginner's workshop for wildflower ID is for you! Join our team for a morning of wildflower identification and surveying at Great Linford Manor Park on Wednesday 22nd June.

During the workshop you will receive an introduction to the common ways to identify plants in the wild and get to grips with using plant ID keys. The meadow at Great Linford Manor Park is in its infancy, having recently been created through our National Lottery Heritage Fund Project to 'Reveal, Revive and Restore' the park. We are conducting surveys in 2022 to understand what species are living in the meadow.

Thanks to our Lottery funding, we are able to offer this event at just £1 per person. This event is suitable for adults who want to begin learning about wildflowers.

At this workshop we will be wandering into the meadow which can be tricky underfoot, and often bending down to look at wildflower specimens. Please bear this in mind and wear suitable footwear for this session.

Time: Wednesday 22nd June from 10am-12pm.

Location: Meet at Milton Keynes Arts Centre car park, off Parklands, Great Linford, MK14 5DZ. Click here for a What3Words location.

Accessibility: This event is held in a grassed area away from main paths. A Hearing Loop is available on request. Please get in touch at events@theparkstrust.com or 01908 233600. Accessible parking is available around Parklands roundabout, near to the meadow. Click here for a What3Words location.
