Women's Walking Network: Furzton Lake

As part of our Women’s Walking Network, our experienced volunteer walk leaders guide you on a series of exciting walks that range from 4-5miles. We meet on the first Thursday of every month. Pre booking is required and costs £1 per person.

This month we will be discovering Furzton and Tear Drop Lakes on a 4.5-mile walk. Teardrop Lakes are balancing lakes that help take excess water from surrounding areas as part of our flood management. They are also home to lots of fantastic wildlife.

The walk will set off at 10am following a briefing from our Volunteer Walk Leaders, so please arrive ready just before. We walk at a fairly brisk pace so please ensure this is suitable for your needs and wear sturdy footwear. We will take short rest breaks at times for water so you may wish to bring some.

Sorry dogs are not permitted (with the exception of service dogs) and this is an adult only activity. Map of the route is available to download below.

Please meet at the ‘Triple Star’ carpark off Watling Street, opposite the National Bowl. What3Words: ///childcare.budget.universes
