Exploring Bancroft Villa: Heritage Open Days

Join us on a short walk that will give you an introduction to the history of Milton Keynes, and the roman villa site as it was before MK even existed! It will also include some of the findings that were made during the excavations. We will explore the rooms of the villa and talk about the archaeology that was uncovered here.

On Tuesday 16th September there are two sessions to choose from: 4:30pm and 6pm. Each session will last around 1 hour and the meeting point for both will be at the car park by the Villa, off Constantine Way, what3words location ///shipped.enough.cycles. This event is suitable for all ages, however children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The walk will be at a medium pace, with lots of time for discussion about the site. If people are willing and time permits, we may also venture up to the site of the nearby Temple Mausoleum. The walk takes place on gravelled paths, grassland and may climb slight slopes and steps. Please ensure that you wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.

Please note, there are no toilets or refreshments available at this park.

This is a free event, but booking a space is essential.

Please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support or to request a hearing loop.
