Workshop: Bug Hunting for Adults
If you have ever wanted to find out how to identify the minibeasts, bugs and insects that we find in our gardens and parks, then this workshop is a great opportunity to explore the different habitats of Walton Lake.
In this practical, adults-only workshop, you will have the chance to try different bug hunting techniques to find the minibeasts that live in the grasslands surrounding Walton Lake.
Our team will speak about the different habitats we have created at this site and how The Parks Trust are helping to encourage more biodiversity. Booking is essential. This workshop is an adult-only session. All participants must be 18 years or over.
The session will involve a short introduction then you will be hunting in long grass for minibeasts, bugs and insects. The ground may be uneven and muddy in places. We will be venturing off the main paths into long grass. To be able to see all of the bugs you may need to crouch or bend.
There are no refreshements or toilet facilities at this site. Please get in touch on outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support or to request a hearing loop.
