Discover Bancroft Roman Villa (Heritage Open Days 2026)
Please note: tickets for this event will be available from Tuesday 4th August at 09:00am.
On this walk we will explore the villa, identifying the rooms and discussing who may have lived there. We will then take a short walk to Milton Keynes Museum to see some of the finds – including a Roman mosaic, fresco, coins, and jewellery. The event is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in your local Roman culture!
The walk & talk will be taken at a medium pace, but please note that we will be walking from Milton Keynes Museum to Bancroft Roman Villa and back. This is a walk of 1.5 miles in total. There is a hardcore path around the villa, but there are areas where the ground is uneven, and the inside of the villa is grass and can be muddy. The walk to the museum is up a gradual slope.
There are no toilets at the Bancroft villa, but they are available at the museum.

All ages are welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
