Nature Craft: Seed Parcels and Happa Zomes

Join us at Howe Park Wood this summer for our Open Day activities hosted by our Outdoor Learning Team. This week, we will be making Hapa Zomes and Seed Parcels! ‘Hapa  Zome’ is the Japanese art technique that involves creating the imprint of leaves onto different materials using the plant’s natural dyes. We will also be making seed parcels – perfect for creating habitat biodiversity in any-sized green space.

Sessions will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with different time slots available. We kindly ask that you turn up on time for your slot. Booking is essential.

Howe Park Wood is one of the city’s jewels, a tranquil oasis, humming with wildlife and colour. As well as being home to a wide variety of wildlife, Howe Park Wood boasts more than 200 plant species, some so rare that English Nature has designated it a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its wildlife value.
