Bat Walk: Furzton Lake 2025
Do you want to learn all about the bats that call Milton Keynes home? Why not join us for a Bat Walk at Furzton Lake and discover more about these incredible creatures! Our expert guide will help you tell the difference between a Common or a Soprano Pipistrelle - and hopefully help you spot them in flight.
Event Details:
• Meeting point: Furzton Lake, Triple Star Car park, Watling Street
• What3Words location: /// childcare.budget.universes
This event is timed to begin just before sunset. Please check the start time and arrive early for a quick briefing and to learn how to use the bat detectors.
Due to the popularity of these events, pre-booking is essential. Each attendee requires a ticket, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress warmly, as it can get cooler after sunset.
Be aware that the route may have minimal to no lighting, with a mix of hard and soft paths. If you have any accessibility concerns, please reach out to us before booking so we can discuss options.
A portable hearing loop is available upon request by emailing events@theparkstrust.com.
Please note that dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted on these walks. We hope to see you there for an evening of bat spotting!
