Bat Walk: Stony Stratford Nature Reserve
Do you want to learn all about the bats that call Milton Keynes home? Why not join us for a bat walk at the beautiful Stony Stratford Nature Reserve and discover more about these incredible creatures! Our expert guide will help you tell the difference between a Daubenton and Pipistrelle - and hopefully help you spot them in flight.
Event details:
• Date & time: Wednesday 10th September at 7:15pm
• Meeting spot: Stony Stratford Nature Reserve, Queen Eleanor Street
• What3Words location: ///remote.jolt.grumbling
We’ll start just before sunset, so please check the time and arrive early for a quick briefing, where you’ll also learn how to use the bat detectors!
Because these events are popular, pre-booking is essential. Each person needs a ticket, and children must be with an adult. Dress warmly as it can get cooler once the sun sets.
Please note that the paths may have little or no lighting, with a mix of hard and soft ground. If you have any questions about accessibility, feel free to contact us before booking, and we’ll do our best to help.
A portable hearing loop is available if needed; just email us at events@theparkstrust.com.
Only assistance dogs are welcome on this walk. We look forward to a fun evening exploring the world of bats!
