Walking Festival: Wheelchair Ramble at Great Linford

Join Kerry Thompson, disabled blogger and influencer, for an inclusive, guided ramble designed for wheelchair users. This relaxed and scenic route offers the chance to explore the beauty of nature in a supportive and accessible environment. Along the way, participants will learn about local wildlife, plants, and the natural history of the area, all while connecting with fellow adventurers. Perfect for those looking to enjoy the outdoors without barriers. Families and caregivers are welcome!

Kerry is a local ambassador for AccessAble and a Parks Trust Access Ambassador. Her work includes campaigning for Changing Places toilets and she enjoys exploring MK parks and helping others to do the same. Her favourite is Great Linford Manor Park. 

Meeting place: Great Linford Memorial Hall car park,

The event will last approximately 90 minutes. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water.

Please note, there are no toilets or refreshments available at this park. The nearest accessible toilet is at the Black Horse pub on Wolverton Road.

This event is designed to be inclusive to wheelchair users, which means the route has been chosen to use surfaced paths as far as possible, and there are no gates or cattle grids. 

A portable hearing loop is available on request in advance of the event. Please email events@theparkstrust.com. 

The nearest accessible toilet is at the Black Horse pub on Wolverton Road. There are no refreshments in the park, but there are pubs nearby. 

The closest car park and drop-off point is Great Linford Memorial Hall car park. There is no height barrier in this car park. There is no postcode for this car park, so please use what3words location unite.nipping.places. The meeting place is at the corner of the car park.
