The world beneath the surface is fascinating, intriguing and complex. If you've ever wanted to take a peak into the elusive lives of British freshwater creatures, join us for this practical adults-only workshop on the Ouse Valley. Enjoy learning identification skills and biological facts about the smaller creatures that we find in our freshwater system from the safety of the river bank. This workshop will begin with a brisk walk down a paved slope through the nature reserve. There may be cattle in this field. When we arrive at the river site, participants will be asked to step onto the grass next to the riverbank - we will provide kneeling pads for all participants. Participants will not be asked to enter the water. Trays will be provided for sampling will be on the ground, however if you require a chair and a raised surface, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can arrange this. There are no benches or toilets available on this route. The nearest toilets and refreshements will be The Galleon Public House. A hearing loop is available on request.
