Walk and Talk: Summer Holiday Wellbeing Wander

Join a member of the Outdoor Learning Team on a guided sensory trail to connect with nature, using your senses to take in everything around you. This is a mindful, gentle stroll with relaxing activities along the way to help you feel calm, refreshed, and at one with the natural world. This session will be focused on wellbeing, with some opportunities along the way to learn more about the ancient woodland of Howe Park Wood.

We will be following forest bathing techniques developed in Japan in 1980’s, that have been found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve memory and concentration. Some findings even show it can help us stay healthy - nature is a powerful healer!

Our Education Centre will also be open to the public from 9:30 to 12:30. We will have free nature-themed challenges, artefacts on display such as nests, skulls and feathers that are found across our different parks, and self-guided trails.

Booking is essential, and we ask that you please turn up 5 minutes before the booking time, to allow a prompt start.
