Walking Festival: Canterbury Tales

Enjoy an immersive story telling event with the Red Pheonix as part of this year's Walking Festival.

In, The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer recounts a storytelling competition, which is filled with sex, drinking and retribution, by a set of fictious characters on a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral. At this evening event, people will make their own pilgrimage around the Tree Cathedral in Milton Keynes stopping around the site to hear the stories, including, among others: the Wife of Bath’s tale about a salacious Knight of Arthur’s round table, the Paradoners’s tale of foolish fellows trying to outwit death, and of course the crude but hilarious Miller’s tale of adultery, backsides and comeuppance. Please note, all attendees must be aged 16+.

This event is part of our 2025 Walking Festival programme which features walks across the city over 5 days. If you have any questions about this event, please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Tickets cost £3 per person and go on sale Wednesday 2 April at 9am.
